The 2024 Donor Run supported by the Nottingham Hospitals Charity, will help raise awareness of the NHS Organ Donor Register & benefits of Organ Transplantation, the Anthony Nolan Register while paying tribute to the Donor Families who have given the gift of life.
More than 8,000 people in the UK currently need a transplant, sadly 3 people die each day waiting for a transplant.
Transplant Sport and Nottingham Hospitals Charity are the Official Charity Partners of the Donor Run.
Nottingham Hospitals Charity is proud to support the British Transplant Games and the 2024 Donor Run. Nottingham Hospitals Charity exists to supports patients, families and staff at Nottingham’s NHS hospitals – including the City Hospital, Queen’s Medical Centre, Ropewalk House hearing centre, and Nottingham Children’s Hospital. Donations to the Charity help to provide enhanced, patient-focused facilities, state-of-the-art equipment, medical research and staff wellbeing programmes across Nottingham’s hospitals. Transplant Sport are the largest national charity promoting active recovery for transplant recipients and increasing awareness of the benefits of organ donation. Race Details: Date: Saturday 3rd August Venue: Wollaton Hall Registration opens: 17:30 Race Starts: 18:30 There will be two races, a 2.5km and a 5km and the entry fees are £10 per person.
